HQLAᵡ Client Onboarding and Integration Team Lead (Luxembourg)

Client onboarding and integration is critical to the success of HQLAX. The successful candidate will be an energetic and detail-oriented professional, have impeccable character and be passionate about building commercially successful solutions. Having leadership and client onboarding experience from a capital markets perspective as well as knowledge of securities lending and / or collateral management within global securities financing markets is essential.

The role involves managing a growing team of onboarding and integration specialists who facilitate the onboarding of clients to the HQLAX platform and its trusted third-party, Clearstream International, across existing or future use cases and thereafter to ensure client satisfaction. The role also involves liaising with the Senior Management Team as well as Sales, Legal, IT and product SME's at HQLAX, and strategic partners to help ensure that client onboarding and product implementation targets are met. It is critical that this person has the organisational skills needed to effectively prioritize requests, meet deadlines and communicate crisply with both clients and management alike. This opportunity exists in Luxembourg.


• Manage the team to help new clients and prospects to onboard and successfully implement existing and future use cases and to onboard clients to the HQLAX platform as efficiently as possible.

•Oversee the day to day activities of the team and tracking all project related requirements, actions, milestones and KPI’s accordingly. Cultivate a disciplined project management culture within the team to ensure that all activities are aligned, prioritised and delivered effectively. Collaborate with team members to achieve optimal results.

• Serve as a point of escalation for any onboarding and integration issues and effectively resolve those issues in a manner that build trust with both clients and HQLAX stakeholders

• Ensure the team collaborates with legal, IT, risk and product SME's to respond, track and document any queries related to the execution of any client related legal documentation, vendor risk assessments as well as associated product materials.

•Capture and document any commercial, legal, operational, regulatory, technical and risk requirements related to our onboarding and integration efforts to ensure clarity and consistency of surrounding workflow.

•Suggest and implement ideas for optimizing client onboarding and integration workflows through process improvement, reengineering and product automation.Lead key initiatives and internal projects in a cost / budget efficient manner

• Ensure that all client facing onboarding or integration related artefacts, including checklists or new product approval related material, remains up to date.

•Develop expertise in our strategic partners onboarding and integration procedures to ensure that project procedures and set-up requests remain aligned and can be efficiently executed.

•Produce and share regular reports with progress tracking and key performance indicators ensuring up to date client status for other stakeholder actions in a timely manner.

•Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

•Provide training, feedback and coaching to the onboarding and integration specialists for continuous learning and development

•Understand regulation, legislation and industry developments and how they will impact the business.


•Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, legal or similar.

• Proven leadership experience, ideally in client onboarding or similar core business functions

• Manage a team to be agile and meet or exceed operational efficiency in a fast-paced, teamwork-oriented environment

•Ability to manage confidential information with excellent judgement.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including a strong command of English, both written and spoken. Other language skills will be helpful.

•Experience of working with Office 365 and Atlassian (Jira, Confluence).

•Ability to communicate and document requirements, to convey ideas and outcomes concisely and precisely.

•Diligent, meticulous attention to detail, organised, can manage their time and their team members time effectively.
