To reinforce our Technology team, we are looking for a motivated Software Test Engineer. HQLAᵡ has offices in Luxembourg (LU), Zug (CH) and London (UK). This opportunity exists in Luxembourg or in remote.
Our collateral exchange platform is used by leading institutions in the financial sector. As a Software Test Engineer, you play a critical role in ensuring that the platform meets the functional, security, resilience, and confidentiality requirements of clients and partners operating in a regulated environment.
You are responsible for designing, implementing, coordinating, and executing tests across complex, distributed software systems. Your work directly supports production releases, client integrations, and regulatory scrutiny by ensuring that test coverage, test evidence, and test results are robust, well documented, and reproducible.
• Functional and integration testing of internal services and external interfaces
• End to end and cross party testing, including coordination with external counterparties where required
• Non functional testing, covering performance, resilience, failover, upgrade, and recovery scenarios
• Security and negative testing, including support of vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
In addition, you contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of test frameworks, stubs, simulators, and other test infrastructure required to validate complex interaction patterns and failure scenarios.
The platform is built on a modern technology stack that includes Kotlin, Spring Boot, ActiveMQ, Gradle, Ansible, Docker, and Canton. It comprises message driven components, REST APIs, distributed ledger nodes, and relational databases.
You work in an agile environment with geographically distributed teams and collaborate closely with software engineers, product teams, and external partners to plan and execute test activities across multiple environments.
This role is based in Luxembourg or can be performed remotely within Europe.
